October Book Haul

Alright so this month I bought 9 books and I am very excited about all of them.

The first book I got this month was Emerald Green by Kirsten Gier which is the third and final book in the Precious Stone trilogy. Since this book in the third in the series I can't summarize it without spoilers.

The Second book I got was The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I love this book! It is probably my favorite book of all time. This book is about Hazel Grace who is a teenager with cancer. One day when she is at her cancer kids support group she meets Augustus Waters and they start a relationship. This book is amazing and sad all at the same time.

The next book I got is Paper Towns by John Green. I really don't know anything about this book other than it is a standalone novel by John Green who, if you didn't notice, is the same author of The Fault in Our Stars.

The Next three books I got are all classics one I have read before and the other two I plan to read in the near future.

First is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I love this book and it is probably one of my favorite classics.

The Second is Emma also by Jane Austen.

And finally Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

The seventh book I got in October is The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. I am really looking forward to reading this book. It takes place in the aftermath of a sickness that killed off most of the children in the world. The ones that did not die are left with dangerous powers. Ruby is one of the most dangerous and she is on the run to get to the only safe place left of kids like her.

Next is The Selection by Kiera Cass. This book is about America Singer who is unwilling entered into a competition to win the right to be Prince Maxon's Queen. I love the idea of this story and I am really looking forward to reading it.

The last book I read this month is The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons. Again I really don't know much about this book either.

So there you have it. All 9 books that I bought this month.

September Wrap-up and October TBR (To Be Read)

So if you don't know what a warp up and to be read is is this is when I list the books that I read in the pervious month and what I plan to read in the coming month. Now lets get started:

This month I read 6 books and started 2 more that I will be finishing in October and I will mention those later. Also I am planning to do a written review of all the books I read. This month I read:

1) The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter. I gave this book a 5 out of 5. I LOVED this book. It was a great twist in looking at the Greek Mythology of Hades and his wife Persephone. 293 pages.

2) The Night Circus by Erin Morganstern. This book got 5 out of 5 stars as well. This book was told from the unique perspective of third person present tense. The story was one that kept me interested at all times. 387 pages.

3) The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. This is the first book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series and I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. I gave it this rating because it was a first novel and therefore was a lot of world building. 375 pages.

4) The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan. This is the second book in the Percy Jackson series and I gave it 5 out of 5 stars. This book was a great sequel to the first book and the ending made me eager to read the next book. 297 pages.

5) Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier. This is the first book in the series and just like The Lightning Thief I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. The first half of this book in story building but it also did it in an interesting way. This book is now on  of my favorites and not just because it is about time travel. 322 pages.

and finally 6) 90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper. I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars. This book was a really good view of what heaven is like and the way that he deals with having to come back from such a wondrous place. 207 pages.

In the month of September I read 1881 pages not counting the pages that I read of the two books that I started.

No for my October TBR. Now there is no guarantee that I will stick to this list. I have a tendency to have a set list of books that I want to read and then I will change my mind when something I am more interested in appears. Anyway, in October I want to read 9 book.

1) Sapphire Blue by Kerstin Gier. This is the sequel to Ruby Red and I am really looking forward to reading this book. 362 pages

2) Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier. This is the final book in the Ruby Red trilogy and it is released on the 8th and I have already pre-ordered it. 464 pages.

3) The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan. The third book in the  Percy Jackson Series. I have already started this book so I will be finishing this one this month. 304 pages.

4) The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan. This is the fourth book in the  Percy Jackson Series. 375 pages.

5) The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan. This is the fifth and final book in the  Percy Jackson Series. 381 pages.

6) The World of the Hunger Games by Kate Egan. 192 pages.

7) The Hunger Games: Official Illustrated Guide by Kate Egan. 160 pages.

8) What Really Happened in Peru by Cassandra Clare. This is a novella about one of my favorite character from the Mortal Instruments books. 65 pages.

and 9) The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith. This is the other book that I started in September that I also plan to finish this month. 236 pages.

If I read all nine of these books this month I will have read 2539 pages in the month of October. So we will see how this goes.
