Option 1) You came from my other blog (the clean book blog).
Option 2) You came from may facebook page (in which case you are friends and/or family. Hi)
or
Option 3) You came from the 'Bout of Books' blog.
If you got here from option 3 you already know what this post is about if you came from the other two options then I will explain this to you. Starting on August 19th I will be doing the Bout Of Books 8.0 Read-a-thon!
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 19th and runs through Sunday, August 25th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 8.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team
So now that I have officially joined the ranks of those participating in Bout of Books I will now move on to what this post is over. I will explain to things in the remainder of this post
1) What books I will be reading for Bout of Books 8.0
and
2) Explain why I started this review blog
So now for Number 1:
For this, my very first read-a-thon I will be trying to read 4-6 books. I will list the 6 I will be trying to read and tell you the page numbers of each book. SO here we go!
1) Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev: 352 pages - This is a book that I have been wanting to read for a very long time and I finally got my hands on a copy and I am so excited to read it
2) Eighth Grade Bites by Heather Brewer: 172 pages - This book is one that several of my friends have been recommending to me for quit a while so decided to go ahead and read it.
3) Clockwork Angels by Cassandra Clare: 479 pages - So for this book I read The Mortal Instrument books not long after they came out and now that I have had time to 'mourn' the last book that I read I am now excited to read this series.
4) Angelfall by Susan Ee: 283 pages - I have seen some really great reviews of this book so I am really excited to start reading this and from what I can tell I will have it finished in no time at all.
5) Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins: 372 pages - This is yet another book that I have been trying to read and I finally have a copy!
and finally 6) The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan: 375 pages - I will be listening to this as an audio book so I hope that counts. I know I am a little late to the party on these books but I am really looking forward to reading it.
These are all the books that I plan to read over the read-a-thon I will be hoping to do a blog post every day but we will see if that will actually happen as the days go on.
Now for Number 2:
If you came here from my other blog then you know I have another blog :-) However, there I just give books movie ratings and then explain why I gave them that rating. However, this is not enough for me I enjoy those posts but I really would like to do a real review of the books that I read so it this I will be doing real reviews for all of the books I post about on my other blog (Clean Book Blog).
I am not really clear on the format for these posts yet but I will try to start posting every Saturday.
Thank you for reading!
Adrian
